Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, logging in via LinkedIn or any other supported method, submitting content, or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and Research Disclaimer, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. Description of Service

Forvm is a professional networking and knowledge-sharing platform connecting students, researchers, professionals, experts, and innovators. The Platform enables users to:

1. Publish and access research reports and editorial content.
2. Submit ideas, topics, and sources through the Briefing Room.
3. Share problems, seek expertise, or offer professional help through Forvm's collaboration and networking features.
4. Engage with other professionals for research, discourse, and collaborative purposes.

Forvm acts as a facilitator connecting users and content; it does not itself provide professional, legal, financial, medical, or advisory services.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to create an account or use the Platform. By using Forvm, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.

4. Account Registration and Security

1. You may be required to log in using LinkedIn or another supported third-party authentication provider. By doing so, you authorize Forvm to access certain profile information as permitted by that provider.
2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. You agree to notify Forvm promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Forvm reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or engage in activity that harms the Platform or its users.

5. User Conduct

When using Forvm, you agree that you will not:

1. Submit content that is false, misleading, defamatory, unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
2. Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your professional credentials or affiliation.
3. Use the Platform to harass, threaten, or harm other users.
4. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform, other user accounts, or Forvm's systems.
5. Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access or extract content from the Platform without prior written permission.
6. Submit spam, unsolicited commercial content, or content irrelevant to the Platform's purpose.

Forvm reserves the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, review, and remove content or restrict accounts that violate this section, as further described in our Privacy Policy.

6. User Content and Contributions

1. Ownership: You retain ownership of any content you submit to Forvm, including reports, Briefing Room submissions, and collaboration requests (“User Content”).
2. License to Forvm: By submitting User Content, you grant Forvm a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating and promoting Forvm.
3. Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of any User Content you submit.
4. Moderation: All submissions are subject to review and moderation by the Forvm team. Forvm reserves the right to approve, reject, edit, or remove any User Content at its sole discretion, without obligation to provide a reason.

7. Professional Networking and Collaboration Features

Forvm's collaboration features allow users to request or offer professional help, expertise, or feedback on ideas and problems. With respect to these features, you acknowledge and agree that:

1. Forvm is a facilitator only. Forvm does not vet, endorse, guarantee, or take responsibility for the qualifications, advice, conduct, or outcomes of any user offering or receiving help through the Platform.
2. No professional relationship is created between Forvm and any user as a result of connections made through the Platform.
3. Interactions are at your own risk. Any agreements, advice, or collaboration formed between users are strictly between those users. Forvm is not a party to, and bears no liability for, any such interactions, agreements, or their outcomes.
4. Forvm does not guarantee that any request for help will be answered, or that any offer of help will be accepted.

8. Intellectual Property

1. All Forvm branding, trademarks, logos, design elements, and original editorial content are the property of Forvm and may not be used, copied, or reproduced without prior written permission.
2. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Forvm's intellectual property to any user.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

The Platform may integrate with or link to third-party services, including LinkedIn (for authentication), Supabase (for data storage), and Resend (for email communication). Forvm is not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of any third-party service, and your use of such services may be subject to their own separate terms and privacy policies.

10. Disclaimers

1. The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
2. Forvm does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
3. Reports and content published on Forvm are subject to the separate Research Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Forvm shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if Forvm has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Forvm and its team from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

13. Termination

Forvm may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the Platform, other users, or third parties. You may also stop using the Platform and request account deletion at any time in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of India.

15. Changes to These Terms

Forvm may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, features, or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
